An eclectic concert of popular music and folk songs by The WarbleSingers Community Choir. The WarbleSingers community choir celebrated its 8th birthday in the summer of 2024 – and their very first concert was at the 2016 Little Arts Festival – also in Warbleton Church.

They told us:
“We started WarbleSingers in order to bring together a group of local people who enjoy singing popular music. As some of us are members of Warbleton Church we have its support in using the Church Rooms and the Church itself as a venue and we are invited to participate in some of the key events in the Church calendar. This crossover works well, especially at Christmas. As seen in our title, our repertoire ranges widely from Foo Fighters, Keane, Christine McVie, Elbow, Willie Nelson, Beatles, Abba, Birdy, Beach Boys, Harry Styles, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, Kirsty MacColl and more”

Led by Kerry Evenden and Peter Martin (guitar), WarbleSingers are at times are also joined in concerts and events by Kerry’s Eastbourne choir, Bourne to Sing. Regular events are the Christingle service at Warbleton Church, Carols on the Green outside Osborne House where yhe WarbleSingers lead the singing before retiring to The Horse and Groom to perform a set of Christmas songs and carols. They also sing at the Heathfield Christmas Farmers’ Market, Warbleton Church summer barbecue, Le Marche, our annual summer concert, various open mic evenings and the occasional wedding. They meet to rehearse at Warbleton Church Rooms on Wednesdays at 7:30, and new members are always welcome.
