JOIN IN

If you’re a visual artist, you are warmly invited to submit one or two pieces of your work for this year’s Open Art Show, which will be a highlight of the Big Little Arts Weekend. It’s open to everyone – all ages, all levels of artistic experience, all types of artistic style and format. If you’ve painted a picture, drawn a sketch, created something in 3D, dreamt up some manga, printed an image, snapped a photograph, carved a sculpture, produced a digital artwork or film, made something in mixed media or invented a game, there’s still time to register your interest in taking part. You have until 18th September 2025 to register your submission.
See further down this page for details of JOINING INSTRUCTIONS.

BE THERE

Our Open Art Show kicks-off the Big Little Weekend with a public preview, on the opening Thursday night, which always attracts a brilliant crowd of arts enthusiasts. The exhibition is then open all day on the Friday and closes at noon on the Saturday. Throughout these exhibition days there will be plenty of brilliant artworks for sale. The exhibitions are free entry with donations welcome. For the Thursday Public Preview there will be a pay bar and on the Friday and Saturday teas, coffees, soft drinks and cakes will be available – plus possibly drinks from the bar at certain times.
