The next production by the Village Players Rushlake Green will be CRANFORD, a rich and comic costume drama, adapted by Martyn Coleman and written by Elizabeth Gaskell and Martyn Coleman. The play will be directed by Helen Halliday. This is what the Village Players say about the play: “This is a gentle period piece which encapsulates life in a small village in the 1830s. The village consists mainly of women (9 in fact) and two men, one of whom is a young man, and the play depicts life as it was then with some witty dialogue and lovely character parts. It shows how very much life has changed over the last 200 years and has some very amusing moments.”
Tickets go on sale via Ticketsource from 13th April for members and 20th April for general public.

The Village Players are always looking for new people to perform in their plays, pantomimes, and musicals – previous experience is not essential. They also need people to help backstage on costumes, props, lighting, sound, make up etc or front of house with theatre suppers, the bar, programmes etc.
